posted 01/06/2010 I would like to introduce myself for those who do not know me. My name is David Soucy. I have been with Dracut Pop Warner for three years. My first year being a spectator, second and third year helping with fundraising and becoming a member on the board of directors, this coming year I have taken on the task of becoming the President of the supporter’s board. I would like to thank all of you who gave your time in helping the organization, and making sure our youth had a safe and fun place to play. Dracut Pop Warner is a non-profit program that helps the youth in our community stay safe, build skills, and learn sportsmanship.
We could not have helped our youth without your support, and we thank you for all the concern and respect you have given. I am writing to all of you asking for your support again this coming year. We have plenty of room for all willing to give a little time to helping our children. We welcome all to join our supporter’s board bringing new and fresh ideas. The supporter’s meet once a month to discuss and plan up coming events to raise funds to help our children continue to get the skills they will need when moving on from the program.
We are also looking for someone with the skills to be able to manage our snack shack; this position is a demanding one and must be filled by someone willing to put in the time. (Please don’t volunteer unless you are willing to commit yourself). Michael Abreu has really put the snack shack together and we are doing well. Michael is willing to give his expertise to anyone who volunteers for this position. We are also looking for people to help with working on committees and if you have the talent in which I know you have, you could even become the lead on a team, what a way to show all the children we support them by giving a little time to the cause they are involved in.
Our supporter’s team is willing to try and make this coming year a great one, but need your support. We are all busy, but if we all just give a little time we could make a difference to the children. So I am asking you to make that pledge in helping us out, it will be a gratifying experience. If we have enough volunteers, we are looking to put together an activity committee, who will plan events during our home games. So if you think you got what it takes and a little time, please join us we welcome all.
